Description
The Golf Santa Ponsa I opened in January 1977 and covers an area of 73 hectares. Situated in the tourist resort of the same name, Santa Ponsa, at a short walk from the sea and at only 20 minutes driving from the Son Sant Joan airport, the Santa Ponsa I is one of the busiest in the island, as it is home to many national and international tournaments, such as the H.R.H. Princess Birgitta of Sweden
Designed by Folco Nardi and Pepe Gancedo, the Santa Ponsa I is a long, wide course with many local trees and native vegetation, water hazards and bunkers. The 10th hole is know to be one of the longest ones in Europe.
